Stop the Avira pop-ups with a few setting changes.

The Avira AntiVir software is a widely used antivirus protection program. PC World ranked the software first in its rankings of top free antivirus software. Pop-up messages are an annoyance and getting rid of those created by Avira AntiVir only requires modifying a couple of settings. Stopping the pop-up messages gives the software more speed.

Instructions

1. Open the Avira AntiVir program.
   
   
2. Click "Administration" on the left side of the window and select "Scheduler."
   
   
3. Right-click "Daily Update" and choose "Edit Job."
   
   
4. Click the "Next" button until you get to the window that reads "Selection of the display mode."
   
   
5. Open the "Display mode" drop list and select "invisible." Click the "Finish" button.
